Interpretation and Contextualization Notes
pg 190 "I was only going to ask"
Explaining his state, ideal form and not everyone has to abide to just man or society. He is asking questions and what he is asking for you it is okay and no exceptions to other people. Some sort of objective state as a whole. Just man-just state: What justice is. State doesn't have to be perfect. If it is real perfect and qualities and be context and leveled practical.

This is the full idea of form and ideal world. Opinion vs Knowledge. Not the true way things are: being and non being. Imperialism vs rationalism. Not grasping the true forms of things. What everything really is than appreciation. True knowledge; who is ignorant and has opinion? Concept of beauty and understanding. Great characteristics of a philosopher. Who can be a philosopher? Not using the process of reason. Aesthetic Stage vs Religious Stage. Process of finding knowledge.

For a ship-navigator, like a sailor who wants to become a navigator. Doesn't know what to do. Analogy to society in position in society where they do not know to do. Philosophers who have been strident. Purpose of philosophers suited to become rulers. Study too much too focused in abstract world. How this structure takes power takes prejudice. Question and answering about it.

Say things are themselves, focused on a grand scale? The public as a whole operates as a sophists. Not necessarily coming to the truth. What the public is so far. Obstacles in the society in reaching this ideal state.
