My Perspective
The piece of paper is the whole universe because every particle and emptiness forms a basis of how the universe looks like. The piece of paper is white, nothing but white, and just looking at it forms a stare, black look in your face. The universe is that exact same think filled with void and infinite space, the paper in a way compares to it. When you start writing on it or drawing a picture of the empty paper, "life" is finally created and the paper is not empty anymore. Staring at the paper though is like staring at the sky, feeling isolated and confused of your existence and the vast confusion the eyes create.
Discussion over paper
Another way to approach this situation is to the say the paper connects back to its sources and how this piece of paper was created. In class today, we discussed how this piece of paper is taken from a tree, which is part of the environment, which flourishes by the rich nutrients of the soil and water poured down from the clouds. Also, the logger who has to cut the tree down and manufacture and produce this piece of paper we have now. In conclusion, it forms a series of connections sourcing back to the Earth that provides for the tree and shelters it, which leads back to the solar system which shelters the Earth and providing warmth and light from the Sun which brings the ecosystems to life.
